Bora-Care® is a borate-based wood treatment that uses patented glycol technology to penetrate deeply and protect wood from termites, carpenter ants, wood-boring beetles, and decay fungi. This concentrated formula is widely recognized as an effective, environmentally friendly preservative and can be used on both new wood and existing structures to stop and prevent infestations.
Its active ingredient, a borate salt, works by disrupting an insect’s ability to digest food, causing it to starve without the risk of resistance over time. Applied directly to wood rather than soil, Bora-Care moves deep into the material to provide long-lasting protection, making treated wood unappealing and unusable to destructive pests for years to come.
