The two most common log cabin sizes that we build are 2,000 sq. ft. homes and 3,000 sq. ft. homes. Both of these sizes are fantastic, but they are meant for somewhat different purposes. White Oak

Built in a traditional cabin style, the White Oak is a favorite for hunting lodges and rustic forest retreats. The space in this nearly 2,000 sq. foot cabin is used efficiently, providing three good-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Additionally, this cabin includes a great room with an open loft.

Maplewood

A more modern style, the Maplewood is distinct thanks to its large angled great room that gives the profile its distinct style. Complete with a wood burning fireplace, the great room is sure to be the centerpiece of many amazing days and nights. Due to the size of the grand space, there is one less bedroom but there is an extra half bath. This will make for a great couple’s getaway, or it could be a great full-time home for empty nesters.

Next, we’re taking a look at 3,000 sq. foot cabins that are perfect for full-time living and big family vacations. While these might not be as sprawling as some of the custom log homes we’ve built, they are quite spacious on the inside and great for big vacations and daily living!

When it comes to 3,000 sq. foot cabins, the Chesterland hits that number exactly. Due to the great number of bedrooms and bathrooms, this is a dream cabin when taking a big family on vacation, making sure everyone has the privacy they need. Plus, the Chesterland model puts an emphasis on a huge kitchen where the family can gather! When it comes to generous log cabin sizes, you can’t go wrong here!

With huge floorplans and ample bedrooms and bathrooms, the Bradford is a great candidate for a log home you can live in every day! If you’re planning to build in a gorgeous natural spot, this floor plan makes your surrounding area a true focal point.
