How long does it take to build a custom lodge home?
Timelines vary with size and season. Most of our custom builds move from signed plans to move-in within several months to a year. Weather, permitting, and finish work all play a role.
What kind of wood do we use?
We build with two log species, white pine and cedar, in 6-inch or 8-inch thicknesses. White pine can be ordered in kiln dried or air dried, most of the cedar is air dried before we mill them. Logs are milled with a double tongue-and-groove and our standard corner is a butt and pass type. .
